But not all textured stickers are made the same way, and the differences matter once fingers start rubbing. Here are the five things to check before you buy, from the family that started it all.
First: what are textured stickers?
Textured stickers are stickers with a raised, touchable surface designed for calming sensory input. Instead of just looking good, they give restless fingers a quiet, repeatable place to go: on a laptop, a water bottle, a desk, or a badge. The best ones use tiny rounded bumps that are gentle enough for all-day rubbing and durable enough to survive it.

How is the texture made?
This is the single biggest difference between textured stickers, and you usually can't see it in a photo. Most versions on store shelves start with a regular printed sticker, then add a textured coating or laminate over the top. That layer is bonded on, so hundreds of rubs a day work at it until it clouds, peels, or flakes. The other way is ours: the design is printed directly into a material that already has tiny rounded bumps. There is no layer to peel, because the texture IS the sticker.

Is it gentle and safe for skin?
Sensory stickers get touched more than any other sticker on earth, often by the most sensitive fingers in the family. Look for latex-free materials, no sharp or gritty surface, and bumps that stay gentle after weeks of daily use. Sensory tools have to be comfortable for the heaviest users, not just the average ones.

A decorative sticker gets touched once, at application. Many textured stickers are mass produced overseas with nobody to call when something's wrong. We're a family in Washington, Utah. We developed this material for our own kids, we've printed every order ourselves since 2021, and we answer our own emails (usually it's Amber). Are textured stickers safe for kids?
Ours are latex-free, water safe, and gentle enough for all-day rubbing. We designed the material with our own kids, who are on the autism spectrum. As with any small item, we recommend adult supervision for very young children.
